Our scooters are fully built by qualified and competent mechanics with many years expereince building bikes and scooters they have studied and worked hard to make sure that your enjoyment with your new scooter starts on day one. return to questions
I've seen scooters for sale without pre-delivery inspection and in a 'crate' can I purchase like this from City Scooters ?
Other sellers may be prepared to sell you a scooter without PDI and crated at cheaper prices. However at City Scooters we believe that the benefit of having your scooter inspected and fully built by qualified and experienced mechanics provides you with re-assurance that on the day you receive your scooter you will be able to ride and enjoy it immediately and without the reliability and safety risks of building it from the 'crate' yourself. We can offer a more comprehensive warranty than many companies in the knowledge that any faults with your scooter will be purely from manufacturers mechanical faults. return to questions
Will I need to register my bike at the DVLA?
We sell all of our scooters pre-registered. When you purchase from us we will ask you for an insurance certificate and your driving licence we will then register and tax your scooter for you. When it is delivered we will supply a 'welcome' pack containing all the relevant details - The V55 registration document will be sent direct to you by the DVLA usually within 2 weeks. return to questions
Is delivery included in your price ?
Delivery charges will depend on where you live and vary for each customer. When you use our web based checkout you will be asked for your address and 'county' the system then tells you immediately how much delivery will be it would not be possible to show prices with delivery inclusive for everybody on the web site. return to questions
Can I collect my scooter ?
By prior arrangement you are welcome to come and collect your scooter from us. If you wish to collect please select the pick up option at checkout and we will arrange this with you when the scooter is ready. THe collection address is the same as our contact address found on each page of the site. return to questions
How long will I have to wait for my scooter ?
Provided the scooter shows as in stock we generally are able to deliver within 7-10 days. We require your driving licence and insurance certificate to register new bikes and provided you can get these to us quickly the time may be shorter. Sometimes when we are waiting for new stock we will sell the new stock at the old stock price on the web site - you will benefit from any upgrades when the new stock arrives without additional charge however this may delay delivery by upto 10 days - If this is the case we ALWAYS notify you at the point of checkout so you are aware of the potential delay.
We have a limited number of scooters registered to City Scooters with delivery mileage only this can be available on the same or next day if you wish. Please remember that this is limited stock and not all colours or options will be available. return to questions
Do you stock parts if I have an accident ?
Unlike some of our competitors we stock a large range of parts for all of our scooters. return to questions
If my scooter breaks down will you fix it ?
Please follow this link to see the terms and conditions of our warranty. We do NOT recover your scooter it is your responsibility to have the scooter returned to us. Alternatively we will ship parts (in stock) to you next day to enable you to be up and running quickly. return to questions
Can I return my scooter if I change my mind ?
We hope you will be happy with your choice however we will accept your scooter back within the first 10 days of delivery provided that it is in the same condition it was delivered with less than 2 miles on the odometer. You are responsible for the costs of returning the scooter and an additional handling charge of £40 will be levied by City Scooters. return to questions
